Types Of Mattresses

We usually don’t think much about how much we will spend on our bed, but you should know that your whole day may depend on it and how good of sleep you had. The mattress is the most important part on the bed and our sleep much depends on it. We live in a fast time so our rest means a lot to us.

With some research, you can find great mattresses for low prices. Everything depends on the person and their comfort zone. You can go online and learn about Nolah mattress or others depending on what type you are looking for. Because people have different taste of things there are four types of mattresses you can buy. Some of them can cost over a hundred thousand dollars, but the feeling can be the same for the one that costs a few thousand dollars.

About Mattresses

You should know that most of them will last about ten years. It can be more or less depending on the quality and they can also vary depending on the body type. Even if they last longer, experts recommend that older people should replace them every five years because they need better support. The main types are adjustable air, latex, memory foam, and innerspring.

Adjustable Air

When they first came out, air beds were really popular because they used air as support core. Other materials like ticking or foam were set as comfort layers. Everyone can adjust air pressure depending on their needs if they like softer or firmer feel. You can adjust it also to your partner if they prefer a different softness.

You probably saw many commercials on TV about companies that sell this product, but there are actually a few that are on the market, the rest are resellers. Most of the testing went perfectly and there are many satisfied consumers, but the only problem they are worried about is noise and mold.

Latex

You may hear about latex when people talk about clothes and the main problem for clothes is how hot it can become wearing it. It naturally comes from the rubber trees. Even if one of the main attributes of latex is that it’s expendable, the mattresses made of it are kind of unique and they can feel very soft and also uplifting and springy.

Manufacturers use two main methods: Talalay which is springier and softer, and Dunlop which is firmer and denser. Some manufacturers decide to use both methods. There are some companies that layer or blend latex on the foam but still sell it as latex. We have the technology to make it using chemicals, so you can expect that more expensive ones are natural. Memory Foam

Viscoelastic polyurethane foam is the main material of these mattresses that is built over a poly foam core. The main reason you should buy this type is that it reduces the pressure on your body. These foams are becoming more advanced over years, and they are becoming the most popular type of mattresses.

It much depends on the manufacturer and the type of foam they will use. Some people say that they are cradled in one position and sink in the foam. The second problem is that the type of foam and the cradling will cause people to heat up while sleeping. When buying this mattress you should get one that has maximum 3 inches in thickness. The density and thickness matter the most.

Innerspring

The most well-known is the innerspring type and it was the first type made of all four. It uses ticking near the surface and metal coils inside. Because they are on the market for a long time they can be really affordable. There are different sizes of coils and the larger they are the bouncier and thinner is the spring.

If you struggle with weight, you will probably prefer a lower number gauge. You can choose the system with individually pocketed coils that work best if there are more people in one bed. The coils are wrapped in fabric to decrease movement from one side to the other side. If the one you are looking for has “pillow tops”, you should know that after some time it will develop annoying body indentations and sag.
