Decorating your home can be a rather therapeutic activity to take part in, as it can allow individuals to achieve a sense of inner satisfaction when completing the task.
Naturally, there are a number of different ways and possibilities that can be considered when trying to come up with the perfect ways in making your home as decorative as possible, although there might be no better way than using a piece of artwork in order to achieve that.
Artworks such as paintings have a great way of being able to show those who see it a number of different things, such as the owner’s personality, whilst also bringing the room that it might be situated into life. Indeed, the artworks by Angelo Accardi are just one example, as each of his pieces are vibrant and provide a story that can create a huge talking point.
Outlined below are just five of the Italian’s pieces that could be considered perfect to decorate your home, with each of the artworks providing a different viewpoint and one that can instantly provide the talking point or conversation starter that other artworks are simply not able to achieve.
Baseball Team
Accardi’s artwork incorporates a rather unique style that can be seen in many, if not all of his pieces, as he continues to use famous cartoon characters as a feature of his paintings, whilst also looking to try and bring some humour and also providing tributes to historic artists within his work.
His “Baseball Team” piece might have plenty going on in the picture, however it is clear that Accardi has tried to combine many of his traits within the painting.
There is an ostrich that appears regularly within the Italian’s arts, whilst Homer Simpson – another traditionally used cartoon character that appears frequently – is also a part of the Baseball team that consists of three children.
There are a number of different paintings to have been created within the piece, as well, whilst the American flag features prominently on the wall to the right of Homer. The painting is one in which the artist has decided to use oils, acrylics and inks in order to create it, and it is part of his “Blend” collection.
Cattelan and Al Pacino
As part of his Mixed Media Painting collection, Accardi created his “Cattelan and Al Pacino” painting that features a couple of world-renowned figures. For instance, this particular piece of artwork includes Bart Simpson and Tweety Pie from Looney Tunes, as well as Al Pacino and two ostriches as they appear to be in a museum hall that is full of other paintings.
The centrepiece of the artwork is perhaps controversial given what it depicts, however it could also help to create a topic of conversation and get those who see it talking, as there may be a number of different ways in which it can be interpreted.
I’ve Guests at Home
Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel, The Pink Panther and two ostriches all combine to feature in Accardi’s “I’ve Guests at Home” Mixed Media Piece. The setting appears to be in a huge room that is perhaps located at a height as the windows at the back suggest that there is a skyline in which they are above.
As with many of the other pieces that have been created by the Italian artist, there are a number of other pieces of art to have been positioned within the painting, whilst the main piece has been given a finish that feels as though there has been a gloss applied to it with various streaks being identifiable.
It’s Not Finished Yet
Art can come in a variety of different ways and forms, but Accardi decided to provide collectors with a piece that had not been finished, thus adding to the overall piece that he has created. Aptly named “It’s Not Finished Yet”, the artwork continues to feature a number of characters and iconic cultural references that the Italian likes to use in his pieces.
The ostrich takes a prominent position considering the size of the bird that has been used, whilst Bart Simpson also makes another appearance in this painting. However, the brilliant part of this artwork piece is in regards to the popular Minion characters from the Despicable Me movie franchise, as they are yet to be coloured in their traditional yellow and appear with a shadow effect instead.
Again, there are various paintings and artworks within the main piece, including an Esso petrol logo.
From Above
Accardi’s “From Above” piece features a number of ostriches and Homer Simpson in what appears to be an art gallery as the birds look at a painting that takes up the entire main wall. They also appear to be standing on a floor that has been well-decorated and designed with a pattern, as those who view the painting appear to be looking down from above.
